The President of the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue, Jean-Louis Cardinal Tauran is expected to arrive in Nigeria on March 20, for a ten-day official visit to the country.
During the visit, Cardinal Tauran is expected to have useful discussions on inter-religious relationship with the hierarchy of the Church and leaders of other religious bodies in the country.

The Church in Africa has been called upon to rise up to the challenges of integral human development in Africa by initiating strategies that will enhance sustainable democracy and good governance in the continent. The call was made by the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Hassan Kukah in a paper delivered at a Conference organized by the Pontifical Council for Social Justice, recently in Cotonou, Benin Republic. The title of the paper is: Integral Development, protection of Life and Security Concerns in Africa; Some Challenges.
